CarolCarol Moreland, M.A.
President

Carol founded InterAction, Inc. in 1993 as a consulting firm, specializing in improving communication effectiveness. She has personally helped over 5,000 people improve their speaking and writing skills, leadership effectiveness, and relationship building across genders and generations. Carol has worked with corporate and non-profit clients worldwide. Carol earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication from Purdue University, and a B.S. in Speech Communication from Southern Illinois University.

Training and Research Consultant

With a background in politics and law, Blake brings specific expertise in delivering persuasive messages in interactions with the media, donors, and government entities. He is a “trend-spotter” for business, political and media topics, and often refers to them in his training programs. A strong writer and social justice advocate, Blake has drafted bills for the Missouri Legislature and published a white paper for the SEC on Rule Making. In addition to his work with Interaction, Inc., Blake has served as Chief Counsel for a Missouri State Senator, and Mid-Missouri Coordinator for the Voter Protection Program. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree and Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Missouri, and is a member of the Missouri Bar Association. In 2012, he was selected as an instructor for the Olympic Games and the Law Program at University College-London, England.

Senior Consultant

Marilyn has been a consultant with Interaction, Inc. for over 20 years. She is an accomplished trainer and speaker with broad experience in change and project management. An expert in using focus groups and other research methods, she recommends custom approaches to help clients improve customer service, training, and communication. Marilyn earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an MBA from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. she is a Certified Business Communicator, and graduate of the Philip B. Crosby Quality College and the Services Marketing Institute of Arizona State University.

Ross Lawrence
Training and Research Consultant

Ross Lawrence has been a facilitator for Interaction, Inc. for 3 years. With a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Missouri, he is a confident presenter with additional expertise in marketing and customer relationship management. As a facilitator for Interaction Consulting, assists with numerous Presentation Skills and Relationship Building workshops for nonprofits and corporations in the St. Louis area and around the country. Prior to working for Interaction, Ross worked as Content Manager for Active NorCal Magazine, where he wrote hundreds of pieces to the emerging outdoor magazine, as well as coordinating its marketing efforts. Since 2016, Ross also coordinated several state and city-wide political campaigns in Missouri where he resides.
